Reverse engineer your goals and desires so that you can cash in on your habits in years to come. You are made up of your habits and I have been obsessed with time management hacks, elite level habits and maximizing my life since I opened my businesses. One of my favorite books about habits is ATOMIC HABITS by James Clear. I highly recommend this book and this audio and written book has changed my life. In this episode, I share how habits have changed my life. I used to be that girl who showed up late and frazzled to almost every event, class and work day. I made a conscious choice to change my habits and uplevel my choices. Here are the 3 steps I do to change a particular habit: 1. The power of compound interest in your habits: Cash in on Your Habits: It can take time to build your habits and see the results from them. Don’t give up! Give your habits time and cash in on them later. 2. Reverse engineer your goals and desires: Instead of writing your plan for your goals from A to Z, write the plan from Z to A. When you do this, you will then be able to see what habits will need to be shifted, added or changed. 3. It’s alarm time!: When you’re creating a new habit, it can take time to make it such a habit so that you always remember to do it. I put an alarm on my phone and keep it in my phone until I have it down and do not require the alarm any longer.
